Woman critically injured in Breda stabbing; perpetrator at large
A woman was stabbed and critically injured in Breda on Wednesday morning. The perpetrator fled after the incident, the police said on Twitter.
The stabbing happened around the porch of a home on the crossing of Merwedestraat and Rijnstraat, according to newspaper AD. The police closed the street with crime scene tape for investigation.
The injured woman was rushed to the hospital in an ambulance. The motive for the stabbing is unclear.
The police are looking for a white man, who may have tattoos. According to the police, he fled in a small yellow car after the incident.
Local residents told AD that the victim is a Colombian woman in her mid 30s. She is married with children, and lived in the home for several years. The local residents describe her as "very neat" and "nice". None of the bystanders recognized the perpetrator, according to the newspaper.
