Hand grenade parts found after overnight explosion: Amsterdam police
Parts of an explosive, believed to be a hand grenade, were found following an explosion in Amsterdam-West around 1:00 a.m. on Monday, the police said in a statement. The explosive was placed under a car parked on Reigersbergenstraat.
No one was injured in the blast, but various cars and homes on the street were damaged. The car under which the explosive was placed sustained severe damage.
Little is known about the circumstances surrounding the explosion. Investigators call on witnesses to come forward.
