Elderly man dies after being hit by train at Gouda station

A 76-year-old man from Gouda died of his injuries after he ended up under a train at the Gouda railway station on Monday, the police announced on Tuesday, according to the Telegraaf.

It is unclear how the elderly man ended up on the tracks. The incoming train could not stop in time to avoid hitting him. The victim was rushed to the hospital. But he died of his injuries during the night.

The police are investigating what happened.
