Tyrannosaurus skeleton arrives in Leiden under police guard
After three years of digging and prepping, tyrannosaurus rex Trix is set to arrive in Leiden with a police honor guard on Friday morning. The skeleton will be warmly welcomed by the Leiden public, including almost a thousand primary school students, RTL Nieuws reports.
In the coming days Trix, who was named after Princess Beatrix, will be mounted at the Naturalis museum. She is expected to be ready for exhibition on September 10th.
Trix is one of the three most complete T.rex skeletons in the world. Only 10 tyrannosaurus rex skeletons have been found.
