Tragic accident sees boy, 9, killed by boat motor

A 9-year-old boy from Reeuwijk died at the Reeuwijkse Plassen on Thursday after ending up in the propeller of a boat, Omroep West reports. The accident happened while the boy was sailing with friends and family. He was hit by the propeller near Korssendijk. He was rushed to the hospital in critical condition, where he was pronounced dead. The police are investigating exactly what happened. The boat was seized.
