Kids vandalize Brabant graveyard

Two boys, aged 7 and 8 years, were caught vandalizing several graves of the Sint Willebrodus church in the Brabant village of Liessel on Wednesday. Flower pots, ornaments and candles of several dozen graves were damaged or destroyed, the police announced in a statement. A passerby heard noises from the cemetery as he cycled by on Wednesday afternoon. He stopped to have a look and called the police when he saw what the boys were doing. The damage was inventoried on Thursday. The pastor of the church pressed charges. The boys' parents offered their apologies to the pastor. The police will discuss possible punishments for the two young perpetrators with their parents and schools. They are too young for criminal prosecution.
