Feyenoord fined €10,000 for offensive chants in Dutch cup semi-final

Dutch football association KNVB imposed a 10 thousand euro fine on Feyenoord for offensive chants directed towards AZ goalkeeper Sergio Rochet during the semi-final match between the two teams. The fine also covers fireworks that were lit during the match, Goal.com reports. On the club's website Feyenoord acknowledges the fine. "Feyenoord will make every effort to recover the damages suffered and the fine from the perpetrators", the club writes, adding that previous attempts to recover damages from hooligans were successful. Feyenoord won the semi-final match against AZ 3-1. And a few weeks later the Rotterdam team snagged the KNVB Cup by beating FC Utrecht 2-1 in the final.
