New Rotterdam skyscraper to get penthouse-level panoramic bar

A panoramic night spot is planned on the roofs of the new skyscrapers set to soon be built on the Wilhelmina pier in Rotterdam, AD reports. Skyscrapers Havana and Philadelphia will be built on the last remaining empty lot on the Rijnhaven. Construction is set to start in 2018. The municipality and developers Synchroon and BPD quickly agreed that the roofs of these skyscrapers will be used for bars and restaurants. And from there came the plans for The Sax - a bar with a panorama view located at 150 m altitude on top of Havana. The Sax is described as a "new, partially floating, urban attraction". "It connects two towers and offers space for a restaurant, club, rooftop terrace and sky bar",Walter de Boer, executive chairman of BPD, said to the newspaper. "With The Sax we want to bring the best of life, culture and people of the city together in a unique location in Rotterdam. The two skyscrapers are home to entertainment facilities with breathtaking views."
