Amsterdam mayor: no chance of mass sex assaults here

Amsterdam mayor Eberhard van der Laan thinks there is no chance of mass sexual assaults like what happened in Cologne, Germany over New Year's happening in his city. Amsterdam residents are "much to nice" to let something like that happen, the mayor said in radio program Dit is de Dag according to ANP. "Amsterdammers don't like to here it, but I find them much too nice for that", the mayor said, adding that in Amsterdam it is also clear "that you have to be nice too each other and that we set limits." According to Van der Laan, Amsterdam is more multicultural and Germany is also far behind the Netherlands when it comes to integration. "I believe that they now have a scare in Germany that we had 15 years ago."
