Stem cell treatment helping one-year-old battle Leukemia

This year began spectacularly for one year old leukemia patient Ana Elena from Breda. Her one in 100 thousand stem cell match was grafted and the little girl is doing well, her mother Carolina Borges said on Facebook. "There is a long and narrow way to go but we thank and enjoy every victory. The full recovery is here and will stay! Thank you, God. Thank you, donor", the mother writes. "I will write more later, but for now this is perfect right?" After five unsuccessful chemo treatments, a stem cell treatment was the only chance to save the little girl. Her one in 100 thousand chance to find a suitable match came true in October.
