Coffeeshop patrons targeted in Amsterdam drive-by shooting

Several bullets hit a coffee shop on Gerard Doustraat in Amsterdam in a drive-by shooting early on Friday morning. Several people were in the coffee shop at the time of the shooting, but no one was injured. According to the police, the drive-by shooting happened around 6:00 a.m. However, companies monitoring emergency service transmissions alerted users to a top priority alert about the shooting just after 8:20 a.m. A light colored car with a round sticker on the right side drove by and fired several shots at the coffee shop. The car then sped off in the direction of Stadhouderskade. The police are looking for witnesses. Anyone who witnessed the shooting, or noticed the car before or after the incident, should contact the police at once.
