Luxury goods festival to be biggest ever

The fifteenth edition of the Masters of LXRY, the stock market for luxury products, is tipped to be the biggest of its kind yet. Between December 10 -14, the RAI in Amsterdam will be hosting 400 entrepreneurs displaying and demonstrating their latest and most exclusive products, on over 30,000 square meters of floor space. “Amsterdam is a city that embraces luxury. Increased consumer confidence, many new hotels and renovated museums confirm this”, organizer Yves Gijrath told Het Parool on Thursday. With the festival expecting over 45,000 visitors this year, Gijrath believes that all is going well in the market for luxury goods. Consultancy bureau McKinsey recently announced total global sale of luxury goods to be in the region of 224 billion euros, and they are predicting growth of up to 390 billion by 2025. Dutch family business Gassan will have largest stand at this year’s expo displaying luxury jewelry and watches over 1,000 square meters.
