MH17 memorial starts in Hilversum
The commemoration of the victims of the MH17 air disaster started in Hilversum at 09:00 a.m. with bowls of sunflowers set down in front of the St. Vitus church.
Hilversum Mayor Pieter Broertjies was present at the start of the memorial, NU reports.
Between 11:30 and 12:30 the flowers will be offered to schools and sports clubs that were closely involved with the Hilversum victims of the disaster.

The memorial in Nieuwegein will start at 2:00 p.m this afternoon. Prime Minister Mark Rutte will attend this memorial, which will be closed to the public.
