Museum filled with sunflowers for MH17 anniversary

The Museum Jan van der Togt in Amstelveen has been filled with 4,800 sunflowers for a private memorial on Wednesday for the family members of those who died in the MH17 disaster nearly a year ago, AD reports. The exhibition Monument MH17- Sunflower Bouquet revolves around the sunflower bouquet artwork by artist Bas Meeuws, who created this piece of art with sunflowers plucked at the MH17 crash site by Nieuwsuur employees.
