Museum filled with sunflowers for MH17 anniversary

The Museum Jan van der Togt in Amstelveen has been filled with 4,800 sunflowers for a private memorial on Wednesday for the family members of those who died in the MH17 disaster nearly a year ago, AD reports. The exhibition Monument MH17- Sunflower Bouquet revolves around the sunflower bouquet artwork by artist Bas Meeuws, who created this piece of art with sunflowers plucked at the MH17 crash site by Nieuwsuur employees. The exhibition will be open to the public from Thursday until July 26th. Admission is free.
