Nearly 3,000 register for social care budget damage claim

A massive 2,800 individual health care providers have registered with the Foundation PGB compensation claim. The foundation was created two weeks ago. Health care providers who have not received payment on a personal budget claim from the Social Insurance Bank, or received the payment late, can register at the foundation to submit a joint-compensation claim. President and co-founder Oscar van Oorschot made this announcement on Monday. Chaos has surrounded the payment of personal budget claims since the Social Insurance Bank took over this responsibility at the beginning of this year. Health care providers often get paid late, or even not at all. This foundation was set up after lawyer Eric van der Groot won a similar case against the Social Insurance Bank last month. Van der Groot represented a woman who received her payment late from the Bank. In this case the judge ruled based on the rules for en employment relationship between employer and employee. Employers who pay a salary late have to pay a statutory increase which can be up to 50 percent of the salary. The SVB has to pay the woman 25 percent more than her original invoice.
