Rabobank raises mortgage interest rate
Rabobank increased the mortgage interest rates on Monday. The interest rate on mortgages with a term of between 2 and 7 years increased by 0.1 percent. The interest rate on mortgages with a longer term increased by 0.2 percent.
The increase is the result of rising interest rates on the capital market due to the recovering economy and the expectation of higher inflation, a spokesperson for the bank said, NU reports. "Despite the increase, the rates are still at historically low levels."
The new rates apply to new bids and offers at interest renewals and took effect on Monday.
