Netherlands restarts Nepal earthquake fundraiser

Following Tuesday morning's new earthquake in Nepal, the Giro 555 aid campaign for the earthquake victims was officially extended. Until now, the fundraiser campaign managed to collect nearly 19 million in earthquake relief. The renewed effort is expected to get new commercials on broadcast media, and a fresh round of posts and advertising in print and online. However, the advertisements in which people are acknowledged for their contributions are provisionally withdrawn. The latest quake had a magnitude of 7.3 on the Richter scale in the already hard-hit Nepal. Earlier this week, the Dutch cabinet agreed to commit an extra five million euros for emergency aid in Nepal, the government announced on Monday.
