Air France - KLM split not impossible: report

It seems that Air France and KLM splitting is no longer an unimaginable notion. Sources within the airline told the Telegraaf that selling KLM is not currently on the agenda, but that nothing is forever. "A few years ago it seemed unthinkable that Air France and KLM would split, but now everything is possible. Times have changed in the airline." Whether or not Air France and KLM will actually split seems to hang on whether the airline's financial situation can improve and whether they can survive the competition. Air France-KLM will be publishing the first quarter results on Friday. According to the Telegraaf, the results are once again expected to be bad news. If the financial situation does not improve soon, it may just be that an interested party will present itself as wanting to buy KLM, splitting the company.
