Husband not prosecuted in pregnant wife's death

Psychotherapist Benjamin N. (41) will not be prosecuted for involvement in the death of his pregnant wife Swaniek Wouda (39). He is no longer a suspect, The Public Prosecutor Noord-Nederland announced today, De Telegraaf reports. Wounda was found dead in her home in Groningen in June last year. The police arrested her husband, Benjamin N., the next day on suspicion of involvement in the deaths of his wife and unborn child. The court released him three weeks later due to lack of evidence, but he remained a suspect. Over the past year several experts investigated Wouda's cause of death. The most probable cause is that she died of a severe form of preeclampsia (maternal toxicity). The Public Prosecutor will release more details later today.
