"Short" hack at computer chip firm ASML

Chip manufacturer ASML has confirmed in a short statement that their IT systems has been hacked. The company states that immediate action was taken and that they are conducting an investigation. At this time it is unclear who is responsible for the hack. ASML also states that the time between the hacking and the discovery of the hack was "short". It appears that the hackers only had access to "a limited amount of data". It is unclear exactly what information has been compromised. The company only states that "ASML has not found any evidence that valuable files, either from ASML or our customers and suppliers, have been compromised".
