Halfords to reopen 12 stores

The bankruptcy administrators of Halfords have recently agreed to reopen at least another 12 outlets of the chain. The buyers are existing franchisees and former employees. With this step, the restart of Halfords has been completed. In total the new organization of Halfords, that already continued in a downsized form at the end of December after a bankruptcy early in that month, will consist of 52 branches. According to the company, those 52 branches will ensure national coverage. The new organization is centrally managed from Veenendaal and employs approximately 250 people. More than twice as many jobs were available before the bankruptcy.
