Rotterdam man charged with 2010 murder of Bulgarian woman

A man was arrested in Rotterdam on Wednesday in connection with a murder in Zeebrugge, Belgium. The dead body of a 26-year-old Bulgarian woman was found in the dunes in Zeebrugge in 2010. She was only identified last year. The suspect is a 49-year-old Dutch-Turkish man. The prosecutor's offices in Brugge has asked the Netherlands to extradite the suspect. They would give no further details about the man. The woman's body was discovered on August 17th, 2010. Two kite surfers discovered the body and notified the police. The woman's identity remained a mystery for a long time as she had now wallet, phone or ID on her. The breakthrough came last year when the woman's mother reported her disappearance. A DNA test proved that the victim is Milena Raycheva. She moved from Bulgaria to Rotterdam in 2006.
