Amsterdam Jewish school closes amidst threats

Orthodox Jewish school Cheider kept their doors shut on Friday following similar decisions made by Jewish schools in Brussels and Antwerp. The terrorist threat level in Belgium was raised as a precaution on Thursday. Police in Belgium raided at least ten locations across the country to break up a terrorist cell suspected of an imminent plot against police and government offices. In light of the recent events, Cheider decided to remain closed, Herman Loonstein told RTL News. He is the head of the Netherlands Jewish Federation. Cheider has about 200 students and is the only Orthodox school in the country.
