Spanish brothers confess to Dutchman's murder
Spanish brothers, Juan and Julio C. have confessed to the murder of Dutchman Martin Verfondern, six months after the victim's remains were discovered.
Over fours years ago, Martin Verfondern, and his car, suddenly disappeared from the village Santo Alla do Monte in Spain. During a forest-fire, firefighters accidentally discovered his car and remains in June this year.
A hunt for the killers ensued.
At the time of the discovery, the police had already suspected that the Dutchman had fallen victim to a crime, and had resumed a search for the- then suspected- missing man. The two self-confessed murderers, were neighbours of the Verfondern family. The families apparently had a falling out over land usage before the victim was murdered.
