ING hit with internet problems over half this year

Dutch bank ING has had the most disruptions to the internet banking system this year than any other bank. Customers have had to deal with in total 142 days of system failure, of which 18 were large-scale, RTL Nieuws reports. An analysis from Allestoringen.nl, which records disruptions throughout the country, ING had 20 days in September alone in which their internet banking systems have experienced malfunctions. Three of these were large-scale. "ING saw, in relation to last year, a 216 percent increase in the number of system failure days", says Tom Sanders, co-founder of Allestoringen.nl. "ING's digital services has problems with system failures virtually every 15 days, and there are big or small problems every other day. For all banks together, the number of malfunction days rose with 165 percent over 2014 in comparison to the same period in 2013."
