Utrecht police hunt serial sex offender

Dutch Just weeks after authorities in Utrecht arrested a suspect in a 20-year-old serial rape case, news has broken that a new sex offender is terrorizing women in the city.

The suspect, identified as a dark skinned man from either Suriname or the Dutch Caribbean has assaulted at least three women so far. Police say that they were able to pull DNA evidence that shows that all three cases concern the same individual.

The last time he assaulted a woman was on Thursday evening June 19, when he cornered a 21-year-old woman about to step on her bicycle at Drift. She managed to escape to escape from him in time.

Last year the same man forced an 18-year-old woman into Catharijnesteeg, where he committed sexual acts with her after realizing she had no money to rob her off; he also made a similar victim in November at Kerkstraat.

Victims described him as a dark skinned man of between 30 and 40 years of age, about 1.80 t0 1.90 meters in height, who either has short black hair or goes bald. He also spoke Dutch well.

Police have not been able to put a name to the description yet.
