Home sales jump up almost everywhere

The home sales increased in almost all provinces. Only Drenthe showed a dip in late August, Z24 reports. According to figures from the Land Registry, 316 homes were sold in Drenthe in August this year. That is 4.2 percent less than in August 2013. With that Drenthe is the only province where fewer homes changed ownership last month, compared to a year earlier. The Land Registry registered 89,248 sold houses throughout the Netherlands in the first eight months of 2014 - the highest number since the crisis in 2009. The conclusion that 2014 is the best year for home sales since the crisis, seems justified now that the year is two thirds in.
