NL could get role in new EU cabinet

The Netherlands is getting a direct line with the new President of the European Commission, Jean-Claude Juncker. Sources in Brussels confirmed to Het Financieele Dagblad that EU official Sandra Kramer is included in the so-called transition team led by Juncker's future cabinet secretary, the German Martin Selmayr. This makes it more likely that she will soon become part of Juncker's cabinet, De Telegraaf reports. According to a diplomat the Dutch permanent representation in Brussels have been trying to make sure for months that a Dutchman forms part of Juncker's cabinet. For the past ten years there was no Dutchman in the political staff of his predecessor, José Manuel Barroso.
