Arnhem zoo welcomes second Sumatran tiger cub

Last night a second Sumatran tiger cub was born in Burger's Zoo in Arnhem. The first cub was born early yesterday morning. The tiger cubs were born earlier than biologists and zoo keepers expected. The birth was expected around September 5th. The mother and cubs will spend the next few weeks in the specially designed farrowing pen, AD.nl reports. It is important that the tiger mother feels completely safe and undisturbed in the farrowing crate, the zoo says, if she is stressed she might kill and eat her new born cubs. Thanks to a surveillance camera installed in the farrowing pen, it is possible to view the mother tiger and her cubs. The images will be broadcast live on YouTube. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aHAZDy_aZR8
