Police need help solving Amsterdam murder
Police are calling on the public for help in the investigation of the murder of 34-year-old Derkiaoui van der Meijden on Monday, August 18, in Amsterdam Oost/Zeeburg. Police are requesting anyone who took video footage of the incident to come forward.
The incident took place at the corner of C. van Eesterenlaan and Borneokade, where Van der Meijden was shot shortly after 11:00 p.m. The victim was found seriously injured and later died from his injuries.
Police are calling for witnesses to provide pictures and videos that were taken following the murder to the investigative team. In a statement, police said that this material may be of great importance for the investigation.
Anyone with information, pictures or video from the scene is being asked to contact police immediately.
