Drug shipment seized in Amersfoort

Police intercepted a shipment with a sizable amount of cocaine in Amersfoort Monday afternoon.

The drugs were discovered around 1.30pm. Someone alerted authorities that there were narcotics in a container that was delivered at a company in the city. When officers went to inspect they found 200 kilograms cocaine stashed in bags in a shipping container.

The drugs were confiscated. Police did not say whether any suspects have been arrested.
