Arrest in execution style killing

Police have arrested a suspect in the liquidation of a man in Slauerhoffstraat in Amsterdam last January.

A 24-year-old year old man from Amsterdam was arrested in connection with the execution style killing. The victim, the 39-year-old former owner of The Sand nightclub, was shot point blank around 10.30pm on Saturday January 4, while he was carrying his one-year-old son in his arms. Police did not release the name of the suspect. It is also not clear what prompted the shooting.
