Unemployment to drop as economy grows: Report

According to the Central Bureau for Economic Policy Analysis (CPB), the Dutch economy is recovering again, which will give rise to growth in the labour market next year.  The CPB, in its June projections report, states that the economy will grow with 0.75 percent this year. Towards next year, this will rise to 1.25 percent. The budget deficit will come out at 2.9 percent this year, but will drop to 2.2 percent in 2015. The economists say that the effects of the growing economy will only materialize in the labour market next year because companies are still careful taking on new staff. "That is why unemployment will only start dropping slightly next year from 650,000 to 635,000 people", the CPB reports.
