Long-running U.S. soap to shoot in Amsterdam

Immensely popular worldwide, the American soap opera series The Bold and the Beautiful is set to travel to Amsterdam in the Autumn to film a few episodes in the city. The news was confirmed by the capital's film commission, Het Parool reports. The Bold and the Beautiful centers around the affluent Forrester family. The family's dramatic ups and downs have been on television since 1987. Now, the cast will descend upon Amsterdam, as well as several other European cities. This is the second big production that has chosen Amsterdam as a stage. Recently, the blockbuster hit The Fault in Our Stars, which topped the US box-office, also showed the world several of Amsterdam's picturesque locations. Some of the lead actors in the soap will be arriving in the city in September or October. It is not yet clear which actors are involved, specifically. The makers will come to The Netherlands this coming week for discussions. RTL, which has been broadcasting the show since the 90s, will also be part of the talks.
