Trucker dies in collision, highway A15

After two collisions in which one driver was killed on Tuesday evening, left the road closed for hours between Leerdam and Deil, the highway A15 is open again. The first accident happened at around 6:30 p.m., according to police. Two trucks collided close to Geldermalsen, causing a long traffic jam. Around an hour later, a truck driver died there. It is thought that he crashed into waiting vehicles. "A truck may have driven into a truck in the back of the jam", the police report. "The driver of the last truck lost his life." The driver of the other truck was brought to hospital with unknown injuries.
