Former ABN AMRO Manager, family found dead

Police have closed the investigation into the deaths of former ABN AMRO Manager Jan Peter Schmittmann (57) and his family, but they are remaining tight lipped about what they have found out so far. The bodies of Schmittmann, his wife and daughter were found in his house at Hoog Hoefloo Saturday morning. Police did not say who found them, but said it looks like a family drama. Schmittmann also had another daughter. Expectations are that more information about the case will be released later this week. Schmittmann started working for ABN AMRO in 1983 and climbed his way up from account manager to boardmember of the bank. He stepped down in 2009 with an €8 million severance pay, the highest ever paid to a bank employee.
