D66, SP, VVD coalition only option in A'dam

There appears to be only one direction for a coalition to form in Amsterdam after the municipal council elections. Informateur, or advisor for cabinet formation, Rinnooy Kan has made this public. Kan believes that the only possibility is D66, SP and VVD. D66 became the biggest party in Amsterdam for the municipal council during the elections. The party said to favor a coalition with the VVD, and one other party. That other party would either be the PvdA, GroenLinks or SP. GroenLinks and PvdA let Rinnooy Kan know that they would not enter a coalition without each other. All parties are now convinced that D66 must now take the lead on forming a new council.
