Spain resumes search missing Dutchman

Spain is resuming the search for 51-year-old Martin Verfondern, a Dutchman who has been missing for four years now, according to Spanish media. It is not clear what prompted the decision. Galicia police will use high-tech equipment, such as radars, that can detect graves.

Verfondern and his wife owned a farm in Santoalla, when he disappeared early 2010. The couple was involved in a dispute with the neighbors over some land. At one point it escalated to the point where the neighbors attacked Verfondern with sticks and sickles. A helicopter with thermography cameras will search the area Tuesday and boats with sonar equipment will be deployed.
