Body found in Ravenswoud could be missing woman

A body, found in the fields near Ravenswoud in Friesland, could belong to Thea Oosting, who has been missing since February 17, according to police. The area has been shut off for investigation of trace evidence.

A passer-by found the body in the pastures between Ravenswoud and Appelscha and alerted the police. 52-year-old Thea Oosting and her husband visited a café in Appelscha on the Vaart Zuidzijde on February 17. While Thea left the café to walk home around 01:30, her husband stayed a bit longer. Thea never made it home. Thea was not considered too intoxicated to make it home safely on her own, according to the police. Unfortunately a large-scale search, including in the water bodies in the area, and aerial pictures didn't render any results.
