Boy (14) held for abusing 8 girls

A 14-year old boy from Winschoten has been taken into police custody for sexual abuse. According to RTV Noord, the boy sexually abused eight children. The victims live in the boy's neighborhood and are thought to have been abused on the street. The abuse started two years ago. According to the regional program, the boy has confessed, but the police does not want to confirm this. The suspect was apprehended at the beginning of last month, but is now back home under supervision of the reintegration. Parents of the victims are being accompanied by care workers, RTV Noord says.
