Dutch buy 4,300 smartwatches

Approximately 4,300 Smartwatches were sold in the Netherlands in 2013, mainly in the last few months of the year, according to market research agency GfK. The sales spiked in the last few months when Sony released its Smartwatch 2, and Samsung came out with the Galaxy Gear. Research suggests the market for the gadget will flourish in the next few years. 12 percent of the Dutch plans on buying a Smartwatch in the future, according to GfK.
