Dog pack mauls 10-year-old girl

A 10-year-old girl was rushed to the hospital severely wounded in Genk, Belgium, after she was attacked by a pack of dogs, that escaped from a nearby breeder. The girl and her friend were on their bicycles when she was attacked by the pack, consisting of Bouviers des Flandres and Labradors, in Heukelom, just across the border from Maastricht.

Four people who rushed to her aid, including a police officer, also sustained bite wounds. The dogs were put down. During a press conference this afternoon in the City of Riemst, where Heukelom is located, it was announced that the remaining dogs at the location of the breeder will be tested on aggression.
