Hundreds may lose jobs at Wegener
Newspaper publishing company Wegener is expected to eliminate some jobs in coming years as part of the company’s efforts to reduce costs.

In the coming months, the company will determine how many jobs should be eliminated, the Parool reported.
The company intends to save €30 million between 2015 and 2017, according to the company’s spokesperson.
Last year, Wegener saved some €50 million.
Currently, the company has nearly 2250 employees, who will be briefed about the new austerity program in coming days.
Owned by British Mecom, Wegener is suffering from the difficult conditions in the Dutch media market.
