Telfort app gives away logins, billing info
A Telfort app, available in the Windows Phone Store, exposed mobile numbers and account information of a few hundred Telfort customers, according to "De Stentor."
The app, available on the Microsoft website, carried the official Telfort logo, however without the required permission. Once Telfort customers signed on, using their Telfort account information, that confidential information was intercepted and used to get access to their Telfort accounts.
Telfort blocked access to all affected accounts to prevent any changes in account information, such as address, account numbers, invoices or subscriptions. The accounts will only be released once the mobile service provider has contacted the account holders.
Telfort asked Microsoft to remove the app from the Windows Store.
