Dutch skater wins gold medal

Dutch speed skater Jan Blokhuijsen won gold while his teammate Koen Verweij seized silver model in the men’s European champion allround in Hamar, Norway. Blokhuijsen won the 10,000-meter race in 13.07,22. This is his first major title of his career. Blokhuijsen is 15th Dutch to become European champion. In the women’s event, Ireen Wust won gold medel and Yvonne Nauta took silver model.
