Reward for tip on cat bomber

Animal lovers have promised a €500 to €1,000 reward for the tip that leads to finding the person(s) who killed a cat with fireworks in Amersfoort earlier this week. Luna the cat flyer Luna’s owner found his cat Sunday, badly wounded by a firecracker that had been pushed into her anal cavities and set off. The veterinarian had to put the animal to sleep. Police say they have received several tips about the case. “We take this serious,” a spokesman said today. Witnesses have been urged to report any information they might have about the bombers, at 09008844. Luna’s owner has spread flyers in the neighborhood to warn others to be watchful. Other animal lovers took to Facebook to find the cat killers; the owner said he was happy with the initiative. There have been more than 80,000 reports of fireworks related vandalism and disturbance around year-end. Luna's killing was by far the most disturbing.
