Discover lovely light artworks at Amsterdam Light Festival

The second edition of the Amsterdam Light Festival runs from December 6 to January 19, 2014. The Festival sees the Amsterdam’s monuments, waterways and parks illuminated in a thousand colours and projected art. For 50 days, the historical center of the city will present a unique decoration for international light and water festival. A total of 30 light sculptures and projections by international artists have been selected for this second edition. The boat tour, Water Colors, will exhibit artworks along the Amsterdam canals and the Amstel River. The walking route, Illuminade, will take place in the center of the city. “We invite you to embark on this adventure with us. Discover the beautiful light artworks that can now be found throughout the city, and that we hope will trigger your imagination. The Illuminade walking route completes Amsterdam Light Festival, and the combination of light art in the city center is sure to create a unique experience for all,” Artistic Director Rogier van der Heide said in a statement. Dutch company The Time Writers produced a time lapse video of the boat tour for the Festival.
