Sportsman, woman of the year

Epke Zonderland was named Dutch sportsman of the year. He received winning trophy at a prize-giving ceremony on Tuesday’s night, NRC reports. Epke Zonderland / Flickr Zonderland was the world horizontal bar champion in 2013. Previously, he won the sportsman of the year competition in 2009, 2011 and 2012. Marianne Vos was named sportswoman of the year. Gerard Kemkers was the coach of the year. Alexander Brouwer and Robert Meeuwsen were named the sports team of the year, while cyclist Mathieu van der Poel was elected as talent of the year.
