The Xaver’s predicted surface winds will be similar to the ones the Netherlands experienced during the great North Sea storm in February 1, 1953. That storm breached dikes in the Netherlands and England and killed over 2100 people. The maximum storm surge will be in Germany and Denmark. There will be heavy rain on Thursday evening and snow is expected on Friday, according to weeronline.nl
