Power outlets for 2nd class train riders

A new proposal to install power outlets in second class NS train cars gained the support of a majority of MPs today. The plan was introduced by Green party MP Liesbeth van Tongeren, according to news outlet Nos. Tongeren told her colleagues in the digital age, providing electricity should not be reserved only for first class areas. "You see nobody now without a phone and laptop; these people are not only in first class," the MP told the Volkskrant. "I want it so [second class passengers] also can charge their devices" Power sockets will be installed in new trains, and as old trains are renovated.
